Why the right unit depends on where you live
Auckland winters aren't about deep cold so much as damp. Most of the year the real job is pulling moisture out of the air and taking the chill off a room, and a heat pump does both. Out at Franklin it's a bit different, with harder frosts inland, so we look at units that hold their output when the mercury drops.
Housing matters too. A single-glazed villa or bungalow on the isthmus or in the west loses heat fast, so we size for that rather than the floor area alone. The 1950s to 70s brick-and-tile through the south holds warmth better but often has awkward layouts. And the open-plan new builds in Albany, Hobsonville, Flat Bush and Takanini need enough grunt to heat one big shared space.
Servicing after we've fitted it
Here's the one thing to be straight about: we service and repair only the heat pumps we installed ourselves. We don't take on other companies' installs. That way we know the unit, we know how it was fitted, and we can stand behind the work.

Do you cover the North Shore, West Auckland and South Auckland?
Yes, all three. We're regularly on the North Shore, through West Auckland, and down south around Manukau, Flat Bush and Takanini. It's all part of our normal run, so there's no extra travel surcharge for being at either end of the region.
Do you install heat pumps in Pukekohe and the Franklin district?
We do. We're out in Pukekohe and across the Franklin district regularly. Winters run colder inland there with harder frosts, so we'll talk with you about units that keep their output on a frosty morning.
